SUDDERTH UIL

Dear Parents/Guardians:
Congratulations! Your child has earned a spot on this year’s UIL Team!
Here is some information that you need to be aware of about this year’s meet.
This year’s meet is going to be a VIRTUAL MEET. That means that your child will be doing his/her event/events at Sudderth. In past years, our students have traveled to different towns to compete in UIL. This year, due to Covid-19, it was decided the safest way to go was to have a virtual meet.
All UIL participants need to be at Sudderth just as if it were a normal school day. This virtual meet will happen during the school day. Participants will be called down when it is time for them to test in their event. All testing should be done by the time school is out but if by chance things run late we will call you.
Please remember that your child has worked hard to earn a spot on his/her UIL team, but if for reason you do not want him/her to participate please let their coach or myself know by Monday, November 17th. If you have any questions feel free to call the school at 432-943-2414 and leave a message or email me at cdbrown@mwpisd.esc18.net. I will get back in touch with you as soon as I possibly can.
Last but not least, in the past we have had Lobo Green UIL shirts to help us keep up with our students when competing at the district meet. Even though the students will not be leaving campus, I would like to continue this tradition. The shirts will be $6. The students will wear their UIL shirt the day they compete. This will allow the students and teachers on campus to know who is competing that day so that they can wish them “Good Luck”!
Attached you will find the scheduled day for each event, a permission slip to allow your child to compete and a T-shirt size preference.
