ABOUT US

The Monahans-Wickett-Pyote Independent School District is responsible to empower minds, enrich hearts, cultivate lifelong learners and produce citizens who strive for unity, think critically and lead with compassion.

Vision Statement: Parkway will ignite a positive passion for student-centered, lifelong learning that focuses on goals, accountability, and is fun!

Parkway Elementary offers a state-of-the-art learning environment within its ultramodern facility.  A key feature of this design is the incorporation of a Kalwall sky roof and wall panels, strategically implemented to maximize the infusion of natural light into the school's interior spaces. This design choice reflects an understanding of the positive impact that natural light can have on student well-being, focus, and overall learning experience. To further enhance collaboration and a sense of community, the school is uniquely organized into eight "Learning Neighborhoods". Each of these neighborhoods is thematically linked to a different type of wolf, fostering a sense of identity and belonging. These neighborhoods feature a central hub surrounded by classrooms, conference rooms, and a dedicated Teacher Professional Learning Community collaboration area, promoting interaction and teamwork among both students and educators. Upon entering the school, you are greeted with the inspiring words "Dream. Discover. Learn. Create. Play." displayed in large letters above the walkway. This prominent message encapsulates the fundamental principles that guide the school's educational approach, immediately setting a tone of encouragement, exploration, and active engagement for all who enter.
